Recycled padding from post-industrial, pre-consumer denim scraps
Le Jean recyclé - Denim Pad is an innovative, colourful, performant and sustainable padding made with high quality recycled denim.
Denim is a very resistant fiber made out of cotton. It takes in average 7.600 litres of water to produce a single pair of blue jeans. That includes growing the cotton and the manufacturing.
With Le Jean recyclé - Denim Pad, Imbotex contributes to denim sustainability. In fact, we both upcycle denim waste and save water and energy in the process. In our Italian headquarters, we produce our insulation materials with zero water and chemicals, performing a completely mechanical and patented process.
How is Denim Pad created?
- Post-industrial, pre-consumer cotton scraps are collected from spinning, sizing, indigo dyeing, selvedges from weaving, and all sorts of denim fabric waste;
- After waste is sorted and categorized, it is transformed into very fine fiber;
- The resulting fiber is processed with low-melting recycled polyester to give life to our own upcycled padding: soft, warm, breathable, comfortable, besides being also completely eco-friendly.
The process and product are certified Global Recycling Standard (GRS) and Recycled 100.
