The Italian wool that allows the creation of very warm padding
A name that contains an ancient and profound meaning, PURAE™: a merino wool obtained from the fleece of an indigenous Italian sheep breed with ancient origins.
The origins of the Merino Gentile di Puglia breed date back to the 15th century, when Italic sheep breeds were crossed with Merino sheep donated to the Papal State by the Spanish rulers, who until then had jealously guarded this precious breed of sheep.
Over the centuries, there have been selections and further crossings with European Merino breeds, aimed at improving the characteristics of the fleece, up to the current breed, the "Gentile di Puglia", which produces a very fine white merino wool, with a micronage that varies between 25 and 27 microns depending on the season.
The wool comes directly from Southern Italy, where breeders constantly strive to guarantee the purity of the breed.
PURAE™ - Naturally Lane d’Italia is a high quality wool, it is natural, biodegradable, thermoregulating, breathable and resistant to odors.
Washable
We apply an innovative treatment that uses natural salts, which, in concomitance with appropriate activating agents in very precise conditions, develop oxygen as an oxidant agent of wool fiber, without causing damage and allowing restricting results equivalent to the use of chlorine.
This new treatment avoids the risk of formation of organic chlorinated agents (aox) and therefore no chlorine compound is detected both on the treated top and in the wastewater, obtaining a totally ecological process.
